My Name is Tgrrr (pronounced Thai-grrrrrr), and I’m currently building the empire that is TheInternerd.com, the super-secret project, and the facebook group of the Nerd Herd.
First, let me give you a glimpse at what I do.
I’m a 28 year old Australian travelling South-East Asia. The name Tgrrr is what people call me in real life, not a pseudonym. I was given the name in Laos. We were trekking to the blue lagoon, a beautiful body of water near Takek. For four months of the year it’s the most beautiful blue water you’ve ever seen, then when it rains it turns black for four months, gradually yellow for four months and then back to blue. Mini Me (our rather short Laos tour guide) christened me Suar Dao, and eventually explained it meant Sky Tiger. I’m not going to introduce myself as Sky Tiger though.
The other trekkers kept calling me Tgrrr, the name stuck, no matter what I did. So I embraced it.
Work? Not Particularly.
I tend to get a lot of stuff for free or very little effort. Such as free food, drinks, accommodation, and motorbikes in Laos. I currently get unlimited free drinks at my local bar for doing 3 hours work for them. A guesthouse in Cambodia let 3 of us stay at their beach-side bungalow, complete with breakfast, balcony, and hammocks for $5 each. The room is normally $35, but in return we filled their other rooms. Stay tuned to learn how to do this yourself and some simple ways to get paid while travel.
I also tend to be good at simplify other complicated things, such as:
- A free number for your parents to call you on anywhere in the world.
- Getting on facebook in countries it’s blocked in.
- Backing up your photos from an internet cafe without sitting there all day.
So I decided to share these things on this blog to make your travel easier.
The Super-Secret Project
At the moment I’m legally bound not to tell you about the super-secret project. That’s why you should subscribe to hear about it as soon as I can.
What I can tell you is that it’s the best job in the world. No seriously. It’s never been done before, and I can’t wait to tell you.
We’re going to help a lot of people, have fun, and take all of you along for the ride. There will be antics.
